About Josephine.
Josephine completed her Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice in 2015 at the College of Law in Melbourne. She previously graduated with a Bachelor of Laws from La Trobe University and a Bachelor of Arts (majoring in Criminology) from the University of Melbourne.
Josephine has language fluency in Tagalog (Filipino).
Josephine came to work with the Judicate Lawyers team as a graduate trainee in October 2015. She quickly progressed to Graduate Lawyer in March 2016 and was admitted to the Supreme Court and to Australian Federal Courts in mid-2016.
Josephine has had an extensive legal apprenticeship. She has instructed in high profile criminal and estate litigation matters in the County and Victorian Supreme Courts. She has briefed and instructed some of Victoria’s leading commercial and criminal barristers. She has conducted, and instructed in, client conferences, negotiations, mediations and trials in diverse complex legal areas such as murder, serious sexual assault, construction of wills and testamentary trusts, complex Family Law property and child custodial matters, difficult conveyance and property issues, and intervention orders.
Josephine already combines an impressive and mature ability to identify client needs with an excellent grounding in legal practice and procedure regarding family, criminal, commercial and property issues.
Josephine has a particular interest in Australian pet law and is the owner of an adorable Cavoodle which is a cross between a “Cavalier” King Charles Spaniel and a “Roundhead” Poodle.
