Justinas was admitted to the legal profession by the Supreme Court of Victoria in 2012 after completing his Articles of Clerkship at Lukaitis Partners in Hawthorn where he built his knowledge and developed his skills under close supervision and guidance of the Litigation Partner and former barrister.
Since admission Justinas has predominantly practiced in the areas of property law, commercial law, employment law, wills and estates and civil litigation.
His broad experience and skills set ranges from obtaining initial instructions from clients to instructing Queens Counsel in Supreme Court trials, and his diverse knowledge base is supplemented by his degree in business majoring in accounting which holds him in good stead to give strategic and commercially sound advice in sometimes difficult political contexts.
Justinas also has experience with religious missions and charitable trusts which is a niche area of the law, including for example giving advice on religious purpose trusts that involve the doctrines, constitutions and rules of wider religious organisations and the way they interweave with Australian statutory and common law.
At De Marco Lawyers Justinas works on complex conveyancing transactions and mentors the more junior property lawyers and conveyancers, provides building contract as well as retirement village advice, and manages private mortgagee files for high net worth clients.
He has a strong moral compass, is meticulous in his work, and no stone is left unturned with his attention to detail when building a client’s case.
Justinas is fluent in the Lithuanian language and has for many years now been a prominent member of the Lithuanian Community in Melbourne by volunteering much of his spare time to serve on community association boards in an honorary capacity.
On weekends he enjoys sport and follows the Geelong Football Club with a passion.
