Human Rights Legal Advice
Judicate’s Human Rights’ Lawyers have experience in providing human rights legal advice to employees and employers in relation to compliance, compliance programs and training. In addition, we’ve provided enforcement in the areas of anti-discrimination, harassment/bullying and religious, racial and gender discrimination.
The members of our Team also possess postgraduate qualifications in human rights and have written a university thesis on human rights and Australia’s anti-terrorist laws.
Our lawyers also advise on the increasingly complex area of elder law including retirement and nursing home agreements, aged care, powers of attorney and guardianship and administration applications on behalf of protected persons, relatives, trustees and financial advisors.
We recently challenged administration orders placing our client’s considerable wealth into the hands of a professional trustee company in circumstances where VCAT was satisfied the client’s affairs were better handled by a sole accountant practitioner thereby reducing the financial investment costs by 80%.
